Born and raised in southern Michigan, spent some time living in Nashville and have resided in fabulous Las Vegas for the past 25 years. Vegas, my friends, is my home! I love this city and all the photographic opportunities it has to offer. I live with a cat named Leonard C. Cohen, but I just call him Lenny.
My father, Joe O'Donnell, was a World War II combat photographer who documented the atomic devastation of Nagasaki and Hiroshima. After the war he worked as a photographer for the United States Information Agency under five presidential administrations. I like to think I had a good teacher while growing up. Actually, I know I did.
Working here in Las Vegas for Glitter Lens Photography and Zip Code Magazines I've shot weddings, conventions, sporting events, red carpet step & repeats, head shots, birthdays and more. My passion however is photojournalism: the art of capturing a moment that conveys a story where the images are obtained ethically and without bias. I'm currently enrolled in Photojournalism at the New York Institute of Photography where the course is teaching me exactly this skill.
Thanks for visiting The Neon City. Enjoy!
